Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel this agreement within seven days of placing your order. You will receive a full refund but any work carried out on your project within that time will not be sent to you.
1. This contract is between Donard Ghosts and the client. The “client” is defined as the person who pays for the service.
2. Donard Ghosts has agreed to edit a piece no longer than 200,000 words for the client based on material supplied by the client .
3. The editor has agreed to finish the work within 21 days from the time that the material required to complete the work has been received and payment of £2000 ($3000) (half at the start, the second half when the work has been completed) has been made by the client. The 21 days period will only begin when the payment has cleared (instantly, if sent by PayPal). The client may extend the 21 days period by informing Donard Ghosts of their intention to do so. Donard Ghosts may only extend the 21 days period with the express agreement of the client.
4. A report, no shorter than 2000 words, will be prepared by Donard Ghosts. The report will contain editorial suggestions for the work. The client accepts all responsibility for all consequences of accepting these changes.
5. If the work is not carried out within the agreed time above, a full refund will be paid and the work will be carried out by us for free. The refund will be paid within 28 days of the request being made.
6. Donard Ghosts agrees to keep all claims to the work private unless instructed by law to make such a disclosure to a court or other authority or body with relevant powers to make such a request, and only to those courts or authorities that have an influence or legal standing in the United Kingdom or United States.
7. Donard Ghosts agrees that they have no legal or other claim to authorship of the work, even those parts wholly contributed by Donard Ghosts. Such claims include, but are not limited to, printed, televised, turned into a film or any other such formats, even those which have not yet been invented. All authorship rights, at present, and in the future to the work will remain the sole property of the client.
8. By paying for this service the client is agreeing to the terms and conditions of the service.
9. Both Donard Ghosts and client agree that this is the only valid contract with respect to this project and that any modifications that both parties agree to with respect to this contract will be done through Donard Ghosts and formalised in writing. Until such a written agreement, signed by the client is received by Donard Ghosts, this agreement will remain the only valid contract.
10. Failure of either party to meet in full the terms of this contract may result in the following actions:
- if the client fails to provide Donard Ghosts with a copy of the project on which they want the work to be carried out within 52 weeks, the agreement will become void. Donard Ghosts will in those circumstances not be required to complete the work. The time frame outlined in paragraph 3 only begins when Donard Ghosts receives a copy of the project.
- if the Donard Ghosts fails to complete the work within the agreed time period, all monies paid by the client for the project will be returned and the client will be entitled to have the work carried out by Donard Ghosts, free of charge.
